Linda is a creative and technically highly skilled ceramicist who is based in Cornwall. We are delighted to be showing her work for the first time in Yorkshire.
Her forms are quirky and instinctive and her surfaces unorthodox making her pots a delightful visual and tactile experience. As a true alchemist she works, as spontaneously as possible, with the volatility of clay, heat and chemicals. Although her work is not traditional she prefers it to serve a purpose so these items can be put to use or just admired.
Her wonderful touchstones are as soothing as sitting on a beach holding a sea worn pebble and her delicate peninsula vases would hold the finest blades of grass.
This exhibition is the culmination of the artists' co-ordinated efforts over a period of 9 months. Pots and painting really spark together. Colour styles accentuate and complement each other.
